Dr. Lauren Mitchell
Hi, I’m Dr. Lauren Mitchell, a board-certified family medicine physician and proud St. Charles native. I attended medical school at A.T. Still University and completed my residency with the U.S. Air Force at Travis Air Force Base in California. In 2020, I moved back to Missouri and began working in urgent care, where I had the chance to help many members of our community.
Over time, I realized how much I missed the close relationships that come with primary care. I also saw how frustrating and impersonal traditional healthcare had become for both patients and doctors.
This led me to start Honest Family Medicine. My goal is to provide care that is personal, transparent, and focused entirely on the patient. I believe in doing things differently by putting people first and rebuilding the connection between doctor and patient.
Dr. Brett Dickinson
Hi, I’m Dr. Brett Dickinson, a board-certified family medicine physician with over 18 years of experience in full-spectrum family care, hospice, and rural emergency medicine. I’m a proud Missourian and graduate of UMKC School of Medicine, and I’ve always valued the lasting relationships that come with caring for families over time.
I’m excited to be part of the Direct Primary Care movement because it gives me the opportunity to truly focus on my patients. Without the red tape of traditional healthcare, I can spend more time listening, understanding, and providing care that fits each person’s unique needs. I enjoy working with patients of all ages and offering in-office procedures when appropriate.
Outside of the clinic, I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart since 2000. We have three kids, a few pets, and a shared love for the outdoors. I enjoy gardening, fishing, and traveling with my family whenever I get the chance.
Tabitha Braun, FNP
Hi! I’m Tabitha, a Nurse Practitioner here at Honest Family Medicine. I joined the team in 2025 after finishing my graduate degree in 2023. My background includes emergency care, family medicine, urgent care, hormone management, weight loss, and aesthetics. I was drawn to HFM because of its patient-centered approach that focuses on lifestyle and functional medicine. It’s truly how I believe healthcare should be.

I live in St. Louis with my fiancé, and when I’m not working, you’ll usually find me diving into something historical, traveling, or spending time with my pets.
Nurse Casie
Hi, I’m Casie, and I’ve been a nurse at Honest Family Medicine since June 2023. I graduated from the University of Central Missouri in 2007 and have experience in cardiac monitoring, pediatric ICU, and a pediatric GI clinic. I also spent a few years as a school nurse before taking time off to raise my kids.
I grew up as an Army Brat and lived in Panama and several states before my family settled in St. Peters, where I graduated from Fort Zumwalt South. I now live nearby with my husband and our three children. In my free time, I enjoy camping, crafts, and traveling.
What I love most about Honest Family Medicine is the chance to connect with patients and be part of a caring, personal approach to healthcare.

Hi there! I’m Lisa, and I joined the HFM staff in 2025. I was already a patient and big supporter of Honest Family Medicine and the Direct Primary Care movement, so when the opportunity came to come out of retirement and support the clinic, I couldn’t say no! I bring a background in event planning, nonprofit development, and business organization, and I’ve built strong connections within the local business community over the years. I live in O’Fallon, have two wonderful daughters, and absolutely love being a grandma.
